It’s been four years!

Again, proceeds will go to support the great community work shown by the Saanich Peninsula Lions Food Bank!

Tickets are $25

This gets you:

  • 4 tokens to 5 oz. beers. We’ve got a wicked, curated selection for our favourite night of the year! We have a unique, one-off cask, an extremely special two-barrel release that we’re not allowed to talk about, vintage Transmutation, and others you absolutely don’t want to miss.
  • food bites to get you through the night
  • sweet tunes spun on vinyl, courtesy of an excellent DJ

Extra tokens may be purchased, and this time our tasting room is open until 8 pm…just as long as those beers don’t cross borders (i.e. token beer is in the designated areas only).

FAQs

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

We’re delighted that bus 75 stops right near the brewery! We highly recommend using public transit, or coordinating with friends for a designated driver to ensure safe delivery home. There’s plenty of parking here at the brewery, but the parking lot at the Co-op down the street could be used as well.

How can I contact the organizer with any questions?

Burning questions will be answered as soon as possible by e-mail info@category12brewing.com.

What’s the refund policy?

Since we’re writing a nice juicy cheque of the proceeds to the Saanich Peninsual Lions Food Bank, we only offer karma points. And perhaps a beer.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

Save the paper! We’ll scan you in just as easily with your tickets appearing on your phone.

Is my registration fee or ticket transferrable?

Have a friend that’s taking your place? No problem! Just e-mail us and let us know.

Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn’t match the person who attends?

Yes it is…as long as you let us know beforehand 🙂

Christmas Craft Beer Show

Christmas Craft Beer Show 2018. Most beer festivals are held throughout the summer months to take advantage of the beautiful relationship between warm weather and cold glass of suds. There are few things that go together so well, but having to wait through fall, winter and spring to get together again and see what is occurring in the industry by celebrating the delectable flavours seems very short sighted.

The best part about beer is that it can be enjoyed at any time of the year. It should be celebrated in the same manner.

To bridge the gap, we have decided to have everyone raise a mug of holiday cheer and join us for our 3rd annual Christmas Craft Beer Show at the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre.

In our estimation, this is a great concept that will allow the multitude of fantastic local micro-breweries to gather together to display their seasonal products as well as their brewery favorites to both beer lovers and food and beverage professionals ahead of the holiday season. This is an out of the box event for the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre, but one we believe is needed in Victoria and will allow for all involved to garner exposure ahead of the most significant holiday season of the year and a chance for us all to enjoy a happy and prosperous New Year!

Tickets: $40.00 for a one-day pass, $70.00 for a two-day pass.

Live Music: SuperSauce are playing for the second time at the Christmas Craft Beer Show. Their recipe? A litre of rock, a tablespoon of roll and a heaping helping of good times. Check them out on FacebookInstagram, and Twitter.

Breakwater Barge
The Barge sits just below the popular Ogden Point breakwater, and attracts people who come for the evening, and people who stop during a stroll to listen to a few tunes. “I have a video of people dancing on the Breakwater, and it’s beautiful,” Deanna says. “I love it when people say ‘great job, Victoria needed this,’ and seeing the people who come down for Barge nights, from 70 year olds to families with children who can come down and enjoy a night out without needing to find a babysitter.”
