Community-building and solidarity are almost exclusively discussed as a response to collective trauma - while this response is important in those moments of hardship, communities must also come together for reasons outside of this week's news cycle. Building solidarity requires supporting each other at our protests, vigils, and jail supports. Building solidarity also requires sharing our towering triumphs as much as our simplest pleasures. Building solidarity requires cultural exchange from a point of mutual respect and that's what The Function is for!
