Steve Middleton and Guest Artists

From Victoria BC, composer and recording artist Steve Middleton has recorded with BMG/RCA and Marshmellow Records and is distributed throughout the world. His music is featured in television, film, radio, Spotify, Apple Music and Youtube. Steve will be performing his adult contemporary folk-styled original music, featuring his warm vocal style and delicately finger picked acoustic guitar. He will be in concert with distinguished world class musicians playing piano, cello, viola, violins and percussion.
Karel Roessingh - Piano: Born in Leiden, Holland, Karel Roessingh is a Canadian pianist, composer and producer, whose recordings and productions have won many distinguished awards. Karel studied at Berklee College of Music, Boston MA and has a music and mathematics education degree from the University of Victoria, BC. Karel has scored five hundred television episodes, films and documentaries and his many albums including "Canadian Nature Scapes" series are distributed worldwide. Kathryn Wiebe - Violin: From Windsor Ontario, Kathryn Wiebe is a freelance violinist and educator on Vancouver Island. Kathryn has performed with distinguished ensembles throughout Canada and the USA. From a professional musical family, Kathryn studied violin at the University of Toronto and the University of Michigan under the tutelage of the late Yehonatan Berick. Kathryn is the owner, artistic director and arranger of “Cascadia Strings”, an award-winning professional music company as well as a concert chamber ensemble.
Kathryn can be heard on the album “La Riche Canadienne” by composed Elinor Dunsmuir and has been recently featured on several CBC Radio 2 broadcasts. www.cascadiaquartet.com
Tyson Doknjas - Violin: From Campbell River, Tyson Doknjas is a freelance violinist, private teacher, member of the Victoria Symphony and performer with Pacific Opera Victoria, Victoria Baroque, Pacific Baroque Festival, Aventa Ensemble, and Cascadia Strings.
Tyson has studied violin at the University of Victoria with Sharon Stanis, The National Academy Orchestra in Hamilton, Tafelmusik Baroque Summer Institute of Toronto, and Symphony Orchestra Academy of the Pacific in Powell River. Tyson is an avid music educator with the University of Victoria, Sooke String Academy, Greater Victoria Youth Orchestra and Harmony Project Sooke.
Erin Tinney - Cello: From Burns Lake BC, Erin Tinney is a freelance cellist, session musician and teacher on Vancouver Island, BC. Erin has studied at Capilano University and has a bachelors of music degree, and a masters of cello performance degree from the University of Victoria. Erin is a founding member of “Cascadia Strings”, “Auburn Blind” and continues to perform in concert and record on music albums and film soundtracks.
Jessica Pickersgill - Viola: From Victoria BC, Jessica Pickersgill is a professional violist with a bachelors of music in viola performance from Mercer University and a masters in viola performance from the New England Conservatory of Boston. Jessica is a gifted teacher and lead violist with “Cascadia Strings” and continues to perform throughout the world.
Damian Graham - Drums/Percussion: Born in New Zealand and raised on the west coast of Canada, Damian Graham’s musical diversity has led to performing with some of the finest musicians worldwide including touring extensively across China, Canada, USA and Europe.
