Victoria Sports News and Synergy Health Centre held the first ever Victoria Sports News Polar Bear Swim.

The splash went down at exactly 12:00 Noon as hundreds of swimmers braved a brisk breeze and frigid water at Esquimalt Lagoon in Colwood. It was all in the name of washing off 2017 and preparing for the new year which has been a longstanding tradition across the country.  Event organizers also encouraged swimmers to bring a donation to support KidSport Greater Victoria as well as Runners of Compassion.
