Kids in the Hall Star Performs One Night with Local Improvisers
VICTORIA – An Evening with Kevin McDonald: Canadian comedy legend Kevin McDonald, one of the kids from The Kids in the Hall, perform and teach local audiences and comedians this November.
“Kids in the Hall changed the comedy landscape in Canada in the 1980s. They came out of the improv scene and onto our TVs,” said Paper Street Theatre director Dave Morris. “I’m excited to offer this opportunity for people to learn from Kevin for a whole weekend – plus get to perform alongside him.”
Kevin McDonald is a comedian, actor, writer, director and founding member of The Kids in the Hall and has appeared in numerous tv shows including Arrested Development, That 70s Show, NewsRadio, Friends and Seinfield.

Enjoy this one-time-only comedic performance featuring Kids in the Hall’s own Kevin McDonald. The show will include a taste of Kevin’s stand-up, the debut of local sketches directed by Kevin and improv featuring Paper Street Theatre’s cast and the original kid.
Sketch Writing Through Improvisation

In this exclusive workshop, learn the Kids in the Hall method of writing sketches using improv. Kevin McDonald from Kids in the Hall will guide you through a series of exercises helping you hone your comedy and performance skills, as well as teach you how to create complete sketches. Workshop participants will present their finished sketches to each other and, if you take the two-day workshop, perform in front of a live audience at the Metro Theatre on Sunday, November 11th.
